Why I Paint

Why I Paint

While browsing in a resale shop one afternoon, I came upon a well-crafted and cheerfully painted little ceramic cottage. It looked like it belonged in a welcoming but hidden and secret forest. I was suddenly and inexplicably happy.

It wasn’t until the little cottage was nestled into the perfect corner of my kitchen that I realized I knew this place from many years ago. In a dream, in this same cottage, in a welcoming and scented forest, I had purchased some flowers from a sweet old woman while she and I contentedly shared our souls. I remembered I had awakened fully of light and peace.

That is how I feel about art. When a person, a pet, or a place makes me feel, I want to paint it. So, that is what I would like to do for you.

Have a feeling you want to keep? Let me paint it for you.
